just drill a hole where there should be a notch, makes it easy every time . plastic clips that hold the cover on are rediculously brittle and will break off.

Quick fix is buy what’s called Dirty Socks spray cleaner for your evaporator coil. There are better options that will eventually fix the issue but I’d say call a professional. As a hvac service tech I see to many people try and fix stuff themselves but eventually they call us in the long run. If you’re not a qualified technician any damage you do to the equipment voids any warranty. Better off just getting a professional to maintenance the system.

That’s likely a voltage regulator that shorted pulling more current than it can handle causing the blow out. That or it’s an ldo regulator that overheated. Likely has a burnt electronics smell too. If you had the letters numbers on top of the chip one could check the data sheet to confirm. The “u” on the pcb just means integrated circuit.

On many systems a C wire or C wire from a 24V transformer is needed so the batteries don't drain out....This video does not show any C wire .... not sure how long it will last.

sir great video but dirty side of the coil is actually on the inside behind this galvanised triangle plate, almost impossible to clean. get non rinse nu calgon coil cleaner and use it spraying two cans on the coil next time. this way you will reach a lot more surface area of the coil

Thanks for the video. My plastic arm that helps slow down the glove compartment was a little different. I had to use some needle nose pliers to help slide out the arm. As for that metal screw, I was tempted to just cut out a small notch in order to fit in a screwdriver. Not a good design and they probably want you going to the dealership to install.

Good job. I’ll be doing this soon on our 2022 Traverse. First oil & filter change was free. But future oil & filter changes run almost $100. I can do it for much less, and I trust myself to do it right.

After fighting to get the female end off, I struggled to get the screw off. After an hour and a half, I completed the job with much frustration and busted knuckles 🤣😬😭. But I saved $400 dollars 🙌🙌. Thanks for the video. P.S. I need to update my tools 😞🤣

I took a Dremel and the circular sanding band and bored the plastic down in front of the t20 screw. next time I won't have to deal with that fiasco.

Use uv light up of the coil also try to buy an ionizer i wave r 4900 a bit expensive but it does great job 👍

You didn’t clean the battery terminal clamps, something you should have looked at doing before replacing the battery as there is obvious corrosion and oxidation. Now that you have purchased the new battery you should definitely clean the clamps before installing on the new battery. Actually you should clean the entire engine, yours is very dirty.
